FIS Student of the Month Program

FIS recognizes students monthly for their outstanding achievement in a variety of subject areas. Teachers nominate students based on their effort, achievement, attitude and behavior. Students then go through a committee and principal review process. All in all, sixteen students from each grade level are chosen each year. Students are recognized in the community through a Benton County News article and a number of in-house displays.
The most rewarding activity of Student of the Month is the pizza reward party. Our students get served pizza and at the same time we invite parents in and show them our appreciation for making academic achievement important. The pizza party has brought aunts, uncles, grandparents, parents, cousins, brothers and sisters in to celebrate. It is an awesome time to get to know the families of our outstanding students.
