Foley Public Schools has developed a Local Literacy Plan with the following State and Local Goals:
State Goal - Every child is reading at or above grade level no later than the end of grade 3.
Foley Elementary School Goal -
The proficiency average of FES 3rd graders will be at 10 points or higher than the state average on the MCA III in reading and math.
We will improve scores on DIBELS reading assessments in grades K-2 from fall to spring. The percentage of students achieving "benchmark" on the spring assessment will increase by 5% or more. The percentage of "at risk" students will decrease by 5%.
The Foley School District Local Literacy Plan has been developed according to required elements consistent with MN Statute 120B.12.
