FHS Daily Announcements - Wednesday, April 9th 

-There will be a unified meeting on Wednesday during FLEX.

-Juniors & Seniors you will be registering for career day during your flex period tomorrow. Please bring your chromebook with you to flex.  All students have received the career day information via google classroom and your school email. Please read through the career descriptions and be prepared to pick your selections during flex. If you are a TA or PSEO please report to the media center to complete registration.  

-Marching Band Practice will start on Thursday April 17th from 6:00-8:30pm in the high school band room. Students in grades 7-12 are eligible to join marching band.  See Mrs. Hesch or Mrs. Darling for questions. 

-DATE CHANGE**There will be a Student Council Meeting on Friday April 11th during Flex in Mr. Johnson's Room.  We will need volunteers for Prom Challenge, Lunch Hero and Teacher Appreciation Week and there will be some information about our Spring Activity night.

-Sample day in the nutrition department - Thursday, April 10

The child nutrition department will be sampling A homemade beef Ramen bowl during lunch

-Seniors: May 2nd is the deadline you must be registered for the Senior Lock-In to be eligible for all the prizes. You can sign up after this date but you won’t get all the prizes.

-Elementary PTO Spring Carnival is on Friday, May 2nd and is looking for volunteers to help! If you are interested in volunteering, complete this google sheet. Please reach out to Traci in the Elementary school office if you have any questions.   

-All students: Reminder to check the current job postings listed on the guidance office window and on the FHS webpage! Opportunities include Summer School Keeper (Foley Public School), HDL, YMCA Job Fair,  etc.

-Applications for the Foley Ambassador Program for girls ages 16-20 are available in the Guidance Office and can be found online on the City of Foley’s website.  Completed applications are due to City Hall by Friday, April 11th.  Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to represent the City of Foley as a Foley Ambassador!

“Friendly reminder to our student drivers from Officer Cody: MN Statute states that it is a violation for any driver to operate their cell phone or any electronic device while driving a motor vehicle. This means no phone calls, texting, playing games, internet use, snapchatting, tweeting, email, or instagram. And any other app I may have missed. Sitting at a stop sign or stoplight and using your phone is still a violation. Exemptions are making an emergency call. If you need to use your phone, please pull off of the roadway and park your vehicle in a safe manner or use a “hands free” feature or voice activation.
