3/12/25 FHS Daily Announcements - Wednesday, March 12th -Juniors: If you missed the Flex meeting yesterday or did not finish setting up your MyACT account you must present to the Auditorium today during Flex time with your computer. -TOMORROW IS SPIRIT DAY IN SUPPORT OF THE UNIFIED BASKETBALL GAME AT 1:00PM TOMORROW IN THE HIGH SCHOOL GYM!!!!!!! WEAR YOUR BLUE AND WHITE AND GET READY TO CHEER LOUD IN THE STANDS!!! THERE WILL BE CONCESSIONS AVAILABLE (CASH ONLY). ALL PROCEEDS SUPPORT THE UNIFIED CLUB!
-FHS Student Council is working on a project for March Mental Health Month. You will be writing a note of affirmation (something positive about yourself) on cardstock on Friday morning. This will be placed on an affirmation wall in the shape of a ribbon. On Monday March 17th, locker tags will be appearing with a positive note and a small treat, feel free to enjoy both.
-There will be Unified Basketball practice on Wednesday during FLEX in the gym. If you are going to be playing, or helping at the game please attend.
-There will be a large group Big Brothers Big Sisters photo for the yearbook during flex on Monday, March 17th. Please meet near the concession stand area in the foyer for the photo after checking in with your first period teacher.
-The Deficiency List for Tri 2 will be run on Friday, March 14th. Any student that receives an F on their trimester report card will be deemed ineligible for their next extracurricular activity beginning on Monday, March 17th. This includes all Sports, Fine Arts, FFA, or any other School Activity. Parents and Coaches will be notified. Please plan accordingly and utilize the Multiple Opportunity Cycle to bring your trimester grade to a passing level.
-Student Track workers are needed! If you are not in a spring sport but would still like to be involved in a spring activity, stop and see Corri in the high school office. Students are needed to assist with several field events for home track meets and compensation is available. Stop by to get your name on the list!
-The After School Credit Recovery Program is for students who have failed a course or standard required for graduation. The After School Credit Recovery Program will meet on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:00-4:00pm. Students are required to attend two days per week. If you have failed a course and are interested in completing it in the after school program see Kristi in the Guidance Office. There are a limited number of spots available so it is important to get the paperwork back ASAP. This program will start to meet again on Monday 3/17
-The After School Drop-In program is for students who need extra help and support on current homework. The After School Drop-In Program will be available on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:00-4:00pm. If you are interested in this program see Kristi in the Guidance Office.
- According to the Foley Public School Handbook Schedule changes that occur after the start of the trimester need to be completed by the conclusion of the 3rd day of the trimester. See a guidance counselor if you have questions.
