FHS Daily Announcements - Friday, February, 7th

-It's that time of year again.  Candy-Grams for Valentine's Day.  All week long you may purchase a candy-gram to be sent to your crush, BFF, sibling, favorite teacher or even yourself!  Candy-grams are being sold in the cafeteria in the morning and at lunch for $1 each or 3 for $2.  Include who it's going to, who it's from an appropriate message and that person's first period teacher for distribution on February 14th, Valentine's Day

-The junior high speech team had their conference meet in ogilvie last night. Congrats to Nolan Murphy for getting 1st place and Miranda Irwin for getting second place in the drama category. Congrats to Maggie Schneider for getting second in the humorous category!

-Mandatory PSEO informational sessions for those interested in participating in PSEO for the 2025-2026 school year. 

*Current PSEO students who plan to continue next school year do not need to attend. 

*If you attended an informational session last year but your student did not participate in PSEO for the 2024-2025 school year, you must attend one of these sessions.

*All presentations will be held in the Foley High School Media Center

*Please plan to attend ONE of the sessions listed below. 

• Tuesday, February 25th – 7:00 am - 7:30 am
• Wednesday, February 26th – 5:30 pm - 6:00 pm

If you have any questions, stop in the Guidance Office.

-Seniors: Continue (or start ????) to work on your Local Scholarship Packet! Deadline to submit is February 20th at 3:30pm. No LATE submissions will be accepted! 

-Colorguard & Drumline for Marching Band: We will start rehearsal Tuesday 2/11 from 3:00-5:00pm in the high school band room.  A full schedule of rehearsal will be available at the meeting. If you are unable to attend, reach out to Mrs. Hesch. (This is just for percussion & colorguard flags, no horns or honorline yet)

-FFA Members: Sign ups for the following events and activities in the Ag room. Some of these events are required for members to participate. FFA Breakfast, FFA chapter outing to Black light adventures, Pie and Ice Cream Social, Volunteering at the Farm Show, FFA day at the Capital, Floriculture contest, Nursery landscaping, Crops, and Farm Business Management contests.

-Seniors: May 2nd is the deadline you must be registered for the Senior Lock-In to be eligible for all the prizes. You can sign up after this date but you won’t get all the prizes. If you register by March 14th you will be put in for an early bird drawing!

Upcoming required Flex Meetings: Students should go directly to the Auditorium after 1st period - do not check into Flex. See Kristi or one of the Counselors with questions.
