FHS Daily Announcements - Thursday, October 24th

-Bus 24 students: Students who ride bus 24 this afternoon should report to the Intermediate Media Center immediately following school dismissal. These students will be picked up when another bus is available.

 

-All Students: Keys found- identify/claim in the main FHS office

 

-Juniors/Seniors:  A representative from St. Cloud state will be in the Guidance Office TODAY during Flex. Stop in to chat with him about any questions you may have. 

 

-All Students: Snack shop will be canceled on Thursday, October 24. Please get extra items during lunch

 

-All students:  Job Cluster summaries are posted in the Guidance Office Windows. Each week more job summaries will be added. Stop in the Guidance Office if you have questions.

 

-All students: Are you interested in playing the virtual stock market game?  You can use the registration link below or scan the QR code on the outside of Mrs. Bauerly's door (room 309).

-All students: It's that spooky time of year!!  Student Council is sponsoring the annual Halloween Costume Contest!  Time to get your costumes ready for October 31st.  Remember, no full face make-up, no prop weapons, no masks and costumes must be school appropriate and follow dress code.  There will be prizes awarded for the best costumes!!

-All students: The Lifeguarding Recertification in person portion of the class will take place on November 20th, from 3PM-9PM.  Please see Alyssa Stewart in Community Ed to sign up.  Please do this by Thursday October 24th.  If you have any questions check with Ms.Piepgras. 

 

-Attention Seniors: A reminder that October is College Knowledge Month. Take advantage of the colleges that are not charging an application fee. A list of the colleges/universities and what dates you can apply can be found at Minnesota Goes to College - Free Application Opportunity. Please let Kristi in the Guidance Office know if you need assistance.

 

-Juniors and Seniors: If you are interested in the Military and would like to take the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery test, please sign up with Kristi in the Guidance Office by Thursday, November 7th.   The test will be given here at FHS on Thursday, November 14th during 4th and 5th period. **Taking the ASVAB does not commit you to anything, but a military recruiter may contact you. The ASVAB can help you determine your own interests and aptitude, even if you are not planning to enter the military or are undecided. You will receive a valid scores for enlistment.
