FHS Daily Announcements - Monday, October 21st

-The Deficiency List has been run.  If you currently have a failing grade in any of your classes and are participating in Fall Activities, please watch for an email from Mr. Inglis and also stop by the HS Office to pick up an Academic Eligibility Form.   You will not be eligible to participate in extracurricular competitions or activities unless you get your grade to passing and  your form turned in.  

 

-The Flex Restriction List has been revised. Please verify your email to find out if you are on the restricted list. To be removed from it, you must achieve a grade of D or higher in the class, and the teacher needs to email Mrs. Gann for your removal. 

 

-Picture retakes are Wednesday 23rd in the HS Auditorium entryway.  Photographers will be available for staff at 7:30 AM.  High School students will be called down by grade level via the PA during the day as the schedule allows. Reminder -- don't wear green for pictures per photographers recommendation  

 

-Come and join us Wednesday during FLEX for a Unified "JUST DANCE" party.  Meet in the wrestling room and bring your best dance moves!

 

-The Lifeguarding Recertification in person portion of the class will take place on November 20th, from 3PM-9PM.  Please see Alyssa Stewart in Community Ed to sign up.  Please do this by Thursday October 24th.  If you have any questions check with Ms.Piepgras. 

 

-If you love books and you love to read….. JOIN BOOK CLUB! Come to Ms. Gross’ room during Flex today to read and discuss books with others. If you have any questions contact Ms. Gross

 

-Attention Seniors: A reminder that October is College Knowledge Month. Take advantage of the colleges that are not charging an application fee. A list of the colleges/universities and what dates you can apply can be found at Minnesota Goes to College - Free Application Opportunity. Spend some time on your days off of school applying to college. Please let Kristi in the Guidance Office know if you need assistance.

 

-Juniors and Seniors: If you are interested in the Military and would like to take the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery test, please sign up with Kristi in the Guidance Office by Thursday, November 7th.   The test will be given here at FHS on Thursday, November 14th during 4th and 5th period. **Taking the ASVAB does not commit you to anything, but a military recruiter may contact you. The ASVAB can help you determine your own interests and aptitude, even if you are not planning to enter the military or are undecided. You will receive a valid scores for enlistment.

October 24th - St. Cloud State University Flex visit in the Guidance Office 

“Friendly reminder to our student drivers from Officer Cody: Every vehicle must have 2 working headlights and headlights must be on between the hours of sunrise to sunset. Headlights must also be on when we are experiencing weather that affects our visibility on the roadway. Such as rain, snow, sleeting, hailing, or fog. Please ensure your headlights are in working condition and are on. See And Be Seen! Any questions or concerns, feel free to see me anytime. Thank you and drive safe!”
