| PENN STREET SINGERS Grades: 9, 10, 11, 12; NO CREDIT, by audition only Penn Street Singers is an auditioned mixed co-curricular choral ensemble open to singers grades 9-12. The ensemble will perform a variety of a cappella repertoire, including pop, vocal jazz, and madrigal. Auditions are held at the beginning of each Term, and students are selected based on tone quality, musicianship, sight-reading ability, and attitude. Performances range from choral concerts to state contests, as well as school and community events. The Penn Street Singers rehearse weekly before school from 7:30-8:00 AM, with additional rehearsals possible as required. Students must be enrolled in either Varsity Choir or Concert Choir to be a member of Penn Street Singers. |
