Advanced Machining & Foundry Practices

| ADVANCED MACHINING & FOUNDRY PRACTICES Grades: 10, 11, 12; 1 Term, Prerequisite = Welding, Machining & Sheet Metal, fees involved  This course will deal with foundry metals and advanced machine shop skills with the late, vertical mill, surface grinder, cnc lathe and casting/foundry area. Students will have a chance to build upon skills developed in previous metals classes to create a brass mallet, c-clamp and other projects using the lathe, vertical mill and foundry area. Students will also design and machine a project using the CNC lathe. This is a course where students can further explore the fast growing machining and foundry fields. |
