| WELDING & FABRICATING Grades: 9, 10, 11, 12; 1 Term, Ability = All This course will cover the basic skills in: Gas welding, Wire Feed (MIG) welding, Stick welding, TIG Welding, and Plasma Cutting. This is an exciting hands-on course where students will learn about and practice the skills needed in the field of welding. Additionally, students will have a chance to work with CAD (Computer Aided Drafting) to design projects to be cut out on the new CNC plasma cutter. These projects can include signs, bonfire rings, fishing spears, ice saws and more. Students will also be able to create a cast aluminum project by melting aluminum in our furnace and pouring it into a mold made with the 3D printer. This is a great course for anyone interested in welding and metalworking, or just working with their hands and learning lifelong skills. Fees involved. |
