| ARCHITECTURAL DRAFTING Grades: 9, 10, 11, 12; 1 Term, Ability = All In this course, students will create a set of plans for a single family home that could later be used to build their own house. Students will learn basic drafting skills, both hand drafting and CAD (Computer Aided Drafting) as well as design factors used in planning the layout of different rooms. Also covered will be different framing techniques and architectural styles. Most of the drawings will be done in Revit 2016 which will prepare students for the software used in college and industry. For the final project, students will build scale models of the houses they have designed. |
