ENGINEERING DRAWING Grades: 9, 10, 11, 12; 1 Term, Ability = All Engineering is one of the fastest growing and most in demands fields in industry. Students will begin to discover and develop engineering practices, including scale drawing, measuring and print reading, along with the manufacturing process. Students will be using Autodesk 2016 CAD (Computer Aided Drafting) software to develop 3D models that can be transferred over to our new 3D printer. Several different projects will be completed using the 3D printer to create prototypes of products designed by the class. These skills, along with other skills developed in class will be useful in several different skilled trades including drafters, carpenters, electricians, mechanics, just to name a few. This course will be helpful to students looking to take other classes in the industrial technology or agricultural department or for students who want to learn how other high school classes are applied. |
