PHYSICAL SCIENCE Grade: 9; 2 Terms, Ability = All, Required Physical Science is the study of matter and energy. In this required course you are introduced to the basic principles of chemistry and physics. Physical Science A will focus on the chemistry aspect of the course which will include the following topics: matter, elements, atoms, chemical reactions, and acids/bases. Physical Science B will focus on the physics aspect of the course which will include the following topics: motion, forces, gravity, waves, light, and various earth science topics. By taking this physical science course you will receive .5 credit for chemistry and a .5 credit for physics. This will help partially fulfill the required full year of either chemistry or physics for graduation. |
