CONCERT CHOIR Grades: 9, 10, 11, 12; 3 Terms, 3 credits per year The Concert Choir is a mixed ensemble made up of male and female voices in grades 9-12. If you are a boy in grades 9-12 or a girl in grades 10-12, please register for this course. Educational goals for this ensemble center on expanded performance opportunities, building musicianship skills, enhancing music literacy, solfege, and performing a variety of musical repertoire at a high level. The Concert Choir will perform a minimum of 3 concerts per year and compete in the Subsection Large Group Vocal Contest. In addition to large group performances, students will have the option of preparing a solo or small ensemble selection and/or selections for the Prism Concert. The Concert Choir meets daily during regular school hours. Concert Choir members will also be required to attend individual or group voice lessons each quarter. |
