FHS Daily Announcements - Thursday, January 18th

-The After School Program will not meet today due to conferences. Credit Recovery students: work on your courses at home!

-This week on Friday a grade review will be conducted at 9:04 AM. If you have any grade that is a D- or lower you will be restricted for Flex beginning on Monday 1/22/24 and lasting for three weeks. If you are on the restricted list you are required to stay in your assigned flex period (unless allowed to leave at teacher request).

If you would prefer to have freedom of movement and choice during your flex time, we encourage you to make every effort possible to have all grades at least a D or higher by Friday.

The current restriction list is in place through Friday 1/19.

If you believe an error was made when the new list is announced, please see Mr. McMorrow.

-The Deficiency List will be run on Friday, January 19th.  If you currently have a failing grade in any of your classes, you will be unable to participate in extracurricular competitions or activities effective Wednesday, January 24th. Please take this time to contact your teachers about how to bring your grade up to passing.

-Starting next week you may notice the 2 new recycling bins near the lunch room. These bins are for the Quad City Drumline to help in their pop-can donation fundraiser. All you have to do is toss your empty pop cans into the bins. We all agreed that just asking people for their cans sounded a bit boring so we decided to make it more fun. Every Monday there will be a new question posted above the cans and in the announcements. There will be yes or no questions and would you rather, we ask students and staff to put their cans in the bin that is their answer. The following Monday the voted option will be in the announcements as well.  Please feel free to participate, we will greatly appreciate all cans given!

-A bracelet was found at the dance on Saturday.  Please identify and claim in the high school office.

-10th and 11th graders who are interested in PSEO for the 2024-2025 school year, stop in the guidance office or email Kristi before the end of day Tuesday 1/23/24 to get put on the list. Please plan to attend one of the times listed below with your parent/guardian. This is a mandatory meeting for all students and parents if you plan on PSEO next year. (Current PSEO students who are planning to continue do not need to attend).
