-“Friendly reminder to our student drivers from SRO Vickstom: The driver of any motor vehicle involved in a collision shall immediately stop the vehicle at the scene of the collision, or as close to the scene as possible, and reasonably investigate what was struck. If the driver knows or has reason to know the collision resulted in damage to any unattended vehicle, the driver must either locate and notify the driver or owner of the vehicle or report this same information to a Peace Officer. Or even a School Staff member. This applies to FHS parking lot. You are required to remain on scene! Even if you hit another vehicle in the lane of traffic. I promise you the consequences are far worse if you try to leave the scene of an accident and not take responsibility for what happened. They are called ACCIDENTS for a reason. If you ever find yourself in this situation, please do the right thing and take responsibility for what happened. If you remain on scene, there will be no fines/citations. If you leave the scene before exchanging your information with the other party involved, there will be fines/citations. Any questions or concerns, feel free to see me anytime. Thank you and drive safe!”
