ART HISTORY/COLLEGE WORLD ART HISTORY Grades: 11, 12; 1 Term This course is designed as an introductory college level course in Art History. Students will gain an understanding and enjoyment of architecture, sculpture, painting, and other art forms. Through this course, students will examine major forms of artistic expression from the past and present and from a variety of cultures. They learn to look at works of art critically, with intelligence and sensitivity, and to articulate what they see or experience. MnTC Goals 6 and 7 or 9. TBD Course topics: American Indian, World.NonWestern, American Indian Modern, Ancient, Accuplacter score 56 reading comprehension or 1047 MCA reading score and a 3.0 GPA 11th grade or a 2.5 GPA 12th grade.
